DC Experts Named National Debt Counsellor of the Year — Third Year Running at the 2026 Debt Review Awards
Introduction
DC Experts has been named National Debt Counsellor of the Year at the 2026 Debt Review Awards — our third consecutive win in this category, following victories in 2024 and 2025.
The result was announced as part of the Debt Review Awards, an independent, peer-reviewed programme that recognises the best-performing debt counselling practices in South Africa.
How the Debt Review Awards Work
Unlike many industry titles, the Debt Review Awards are not self-nominated. Over several months, NCR-registered participants across the debt counselling industry are invited to nominate and shortlist their peers using dedicated online voting software. Shortlisted practices are then reviewed in more detail before winners are confirmed, with the process independently audited by Moore SA Auditors.
Debt counselling practices are judged against measures that matter to consumers — including collection ratios, client retention, the quality of restructuring proposals submitted to creditors, how quickly queries are resolved, and how consistently timelines are met. Practices compete within the category that matches their size, and DC Experts is recognised in the National Debt Counselling Practice category, reserved for practices supporting close to or more than 4,000 clients across a team of five or more debt counsellors.
Three Years, One Standard
Winning once can be a good year. Winning three years running means something different — it means the people doing the day-to-day work of negotiating with creditors, processing payments, and answering client calls have kept that standard up through 2024, 2025 and now 2026, even as our client base has grown.
We see this award as a reflection of that consistency rather than a one-off achievement, and we’re proud of the counsellors, portfolio managers and support staff whose work it actually measures.

Alongside the National Debt Counselling Practice award, DC Experts also received the Slipstream Technology Adoption Award for 2026, recognising consistent use of the DReX portal in how we manage client cases.
